JIPSD Operations Related to Hurricane Florence
Due to Hurricane Florence, our offices will close beginning at Noon on Tuesday, September 11, 2018, and our Solid Waste services will run on its normal schedule. Our offices will be closed and there will be no garbage or trash collection on the following days:
- Wednesday, September 12, 2018
- Thursday, September 13, 2018

JIPSD Force Main Diversion & Capacity Upgrade Project – POSTPONED
Due to Hurricane Florence, the mandatory pre-bid conference scheduled for Tuesday, September 11th at 2 p.m. at the JIPSD conference room will be postponed and rescheduled at a future, undetermined date. We will notify you as soon as this conference has been rescheduled.

Labor Day pays tribute to the contributions and achievements of American workers. It was created by the labor movement in the late 19th century and became a federal holiday in 1894. In observance of this holiday, JIPSD offices will be closed Monday, September 3rd. JIPSD residents will experience a one-day delay in their regular garbage and debris collection services.
