JIPSD 1st Quarter Donation to JI Outreach
The JI Outreach is a local organization that provides emergency food, medicine and utility assistance to James Island residents in need. JIPSD associates volunteer to support the JI Outreach throughout the year by collecting and donating money and non-perishable food items.
We are excited to report that during the 1st quarter of 2018, our associates collected 150 pounds of food. The JI Outreach and community greatly appreciates the support. Residents can support the JI Outreach by dropping off food donations to one of our four fire stations. Our fire stations are located at 1622 Camp Road, 853 Harborview Road, 78 Plymouth Avenue and 1833 Folly Road. For more information visit www.jioutreach.org.
Solid Waste Collection Update- January 9, 2018
Due to last week’s holiday delay and subsequent weather closures, we would like to provide an update on collection services:
• Monday and Tuesday roll-cart collection has been completed, and crews have picked up about ½ of Wednesday.
• While garbage crews are running ahead, rest assured, a second pass will be made on your regular day to ensure no one was missed.
• Please remember to put your roll-cart at the curb no later than 6AM to ensure collection.
• Yard debris crews are currently running about a day ahead, as well.
PLEASE NOTE: Next Monday, another holiday pushes your collection services back one day. We will resume regular operations on Monday, January 22nd.
Thank you for your patience and understanding while we try to catch up from holidays and storm closures.
