Pursuant to Section 6-1-80 of the S.C. Code of Laws, public notice is hereby given that the James Island Public Service District Commission will hold a Public Hearing on the following: (1) Resolution to Raise Revenue and Adopt a Budget for the Fiscal Year July 1, 2024, through June 30, 2025, and (2) Wastewater Collection System Use and Rate Resolution. Updated Draft FY25 Budget and Resolution as of 5/20/2024 and Draft Wastewater Collection System Use and Rate Resolution

The James Island Public Service District will be closed on Monday, May 27, 2024, in observance of Memorial Day. During the holiday week, garbage and trash collection will occur one day later than your regular collection day. If you have a Wastewater emergency, please call 843.795.2345.

The yard and bulk debris routes will follow that same schedule. Any yard or bulk debris not collected will be collected the following week. Please put your carts out as soon as possible, there will be extra equipment out all week to ensure all garbage routes are completed. Please remember that any excess cardboard can be taken to the Charleston County Convenience Center located at 1716 Signal Point Rd.
Solid Waste will also be closed Monday January 1st, 2024. We will follow the normal holiday slide-day schedule that week, garbage and trash will operate one day behind. If you have a Wastewater emergency, please call 843.795.2345.
